What happens when the rules of the game are actually the rules of chemistry?

Mike Lee of New Lemurs starts out this interview with iMore Managing Editor Peter Cohen talking about his company’s goal of “trying to educate people, and trying to find the best way to educate people.” From there, it quickly becomes clear that he has a unique and thoughtful take on how to pull games out of science, instead of forcing science into a game. The first game they’ve put out is Lemurs Chemistry: Water, a casual game that teaches the basic ideas of the chemistry of water, but in a way that just makes sense. In a market flooded with apps haphazardly labelled as educational, I love the way New Lemurs is thinking about approaching the concept of educational games. And I hope to see more of it!
