All week long I’ve been sharing materials for teaching idioms. Now that Idioms Week is coming to a close, I thought I’d share just a few more resources that might be valuable.
Unveiling Idioms: A Game of Concentration – My favorite thing about this game is that the kids create it. It’s perfect for a classroom activity or art lesson.
Sweet As Pie: An Idiom Supplementary Unit – Over at Hooty’s Homeroom, Mandy has created a full unit of materials including Powerpoints, a concentration game, bingo, and more.
Kidioms – This series of apps provides lots of fun practice for identifying and using idioms. It includes a variety of activities and games to help learners solidify their understanding of idioms.
7 No Prep Activities for Teaching Idioms – The title pretty much says it all. You can find a few more ideas here for fun ways to teach and practice idioms.
